1 · Your Kite Connect app

  1. Create an app at developers.kite.trade (Connect plan for market data).
  2. Set its redirect URL to <backend>/api/v1/brokers/kite/callback.
  3. Paste the API key and secret here. They are encrypted before storage.

2 · Daily login

Kite access tokens expire every morning around 06:00 IST. Use “Log in to Zerodha” above once a day, or paste a token you generated elsewhere:

Routing is set in .env: DATA_PROVIDERS_INDIA (e.g. kite,yfinance), DATA_PROVIDERS_CRYPTO (coingecko,yfinance), DATA_PROVIDERS_FX (frankfurter,yfinance). Each is tried in order, then the default chain.
